Hi there, I am visiting Crete and have been couple days in Chania. There’s a lot of stray dogs but I saw particularly one big dog in a bad condition. His fur was dirty and shaggy and he couldn’t walk much. I’m wondering is there some organisation which could help him? The dog was wandering all day at the corner of Karaoli ke Dimitriou and Chalidon.
Hi! I am staying at Avra Imperial – We were out walking on the backroad of Avra, and when i was looking into some of the abandoned buildings on the left side of the road just to the sea – i saw some cats playing. But also behind them a puppy was sitting looking at them. I dont know if you can do anything about this, but i gave it a chance. It hurts me a great deal to see this. I saw the dog again, it seems as if its the male and female dog taking care of the little puppy, once the sun settled they went out together all 3 of them, they went back for the puppy and then they all took a walk. It seems as if they live in the buildings. Maybe people feed them there…
They seemed happy, I just hope someone is giving them food and water.
I have been trying to reach separate organisations via mail/facebook I hope someone can help.
Yesterday i saw them again! now i was wrong, there are 6 puppies! they ran out on the field and were playing with each other having a good time. I hope you can help both the puppies and the father and mother of these puppies. I also saw the male dog digging in the sand yesterday on the beach for big worms.
